When Disaster Hits, Insurance Companies Don't Always Play Fair.

Most homeowners face the claims process alone, up against a team of professionals representing the interest of the insurance company.

Claim Denied or Underpaid

Your insurer said the damage wasn't covered, or offered a fraction of what repairs actually cost.

Their Adjuster Works for Them

The insurance company's adjuster is on their payroll. They're not looking out for you.

You Don't Know How to Fight Back

Most homeowners don't know they have the right to hire their own licensed adjuster.

A public adjuster works exclusively for you, not the insurance company. We review your policy, document your loss, and negotiate every dollar you're owed. There is no upfront cost.

"Great company. Great people. I would use them again in a minute if I had to. They fought by my side the whole time and stuck it out till the end — getting every penny I should have gotten. The insurance company was immediately throwing out really low numbers and Aware Owner held their feet to the fire and fought for me. I would refer them to anyone in my family."

"Great company and team. Was able to get the finances needed to fix my entire house. They flew a team to my home in Florida, took images, weather reports, and a statement of what was happening. Inspected all of the damages and made things happen. Very grateful for all they did for me."

"Call Aware Owner. Do not hesitate. They are on your side and the insurance company is not. I was stuck — nothing but no's from insurance for 12+ months. I called Aware Owner and Josh and the team took care of everything from the very first call. I never spoke to the insurance again and the new answers were yes. Excellent communication and my problems were solved."

Frequently Asked Questions

The most common questions about public adjusters and property insurance claims.

What does a public adjuster do?

A public adjuster is a licensed insurance professional who represents property owners, not insurance companies, in preparing, filing, and negotiating property damage claims. We review your policy, conduct an independent on-site inspection, document every item of damage, and negotiate directly with your insurer until you receive the maximum settlement your policy allows. You don't have to speak to your insurance company at all. We handle every call, document request, and negotiation on your behalf.

What's the difference between a public adjuster and an insurance adjuster?

An insurance adjuster works for your insurance company — their financial incentive is to minimize your payout. A public adjuster works exclusively for you, the policyholder, and is paid a percentage of what they recover for you. Their incentive is to maximize your settlement. This conflict of interest is built into every claim: the insurance company's adjuster is not on your side.

How much does a public adjuster cost?

Public adjusters work on a contingency fee basis. There is no upfront cost and no fee unless we recover money for you. Our fee is a percentage of the total settlement, agreed upon in writing before we begin any work. In most cases, even after our fee, the net recovery is higher than what the policyholder would have received handling the claim on their own. There are no retainers, no hourly rates, and no out-of-pocket expenses.

Can I hire a public adjuster after I already filed a claim?

Yes — at any stage. You can bring in a public adjuster after you have filed, after you have received a settlement offer, and even after a claim has been denied. If your settlement feels too low, we can review the insurer's scope of loss, produce an independent assessment, and file a supplemental claim for the difference. It is never too late to call Aware Owner.
